Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of power source do I need?
A standard outdoor or indoor electrical outlet within 50 feet will work just fine.
Will a representative from The Jumpee Thing be present for the party?
A carnie of your choice will work the party for you for a fee of $25 per hour, however it is not necessary. Adult supervision by a representative of the party is essential to ensure that safe practices are adhered to.
How much room do I need for the units?
The Jumpee Thing  requires a 20' x 20' space with a clearance of 18' above head. The Slidee Thing needs approximately 25' x 45' for proper operation.
How many kids can jump in The Jumpee Thing at once?
It all depends on the age/size of the kids enjoying The Jumpee Thing. A good rule of thumb is: 8 - two to four year olds; 6 - five to nine year olds; 4 - nine year olds and older. The responsible adult should also monitor the jumpers to ensure "same-age" jumpers are using The Jumpee Thing at the same time.
Are there any other safety concerns that I should be concerned of?
Sure...safety instructions are posted in your rental agreement, on a sign that is left next to the unit and on the unit itself. Please follow them closely so everyone can enjoy the inflatable safely.
Do Carnies (Carnival workers) really have small hands and smell like cabbage?
No...not all of us. Although some carnies are missing several teeth, most modern-day carnies do not smell like cabbage. Our carnies, outside of one porcelain crown, have all their own teeth.
Is The Jumpee Thing  a minority owned business?
YES...although some people think all Carnies should be classified as minorities, they are not. The Jumpee Thing, Inc., however, is owned and operated by a small Hispanic family from Dublin, OH and has been properly registered as a MBE for those that are interested.

Carnies are people too!
